by Dan Bacher
Here's an update from Bill Lackemacher of Sacramento for Democracy on the protest against Alberto Gonzales, U.S. Attorney General, at McGeorge Law School in Sacramento today.

Sorry for the change, but Alberto Gonzales will actually be speaking at 1 PM, not noon as originally reported to us. Because parking may be difficult, we suggest that you try to get there around noon if you'd like to attend the protest.

Protest Torture-advocate Alberto Gonzales @ McGeorge School of Law

Protest Torture-advocate U.S. Attorney General General Alberto Gonzales who will be speaking in the Lecture Hall, McGeorge Law School, 3200 5th Ave, Sacramento (map & directions below). Meet across the street from the main entrance at 12 noon (his lecture starts at 1 PM).

Hopefully the law students will turn their backs on him just like they did when he spoke at Georgetown.

Here are some sign ideas...

"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."
-Ben Franklin

"Worst Attorney General Ever!"

"Hey Alberto, Habeas This!"

"Alberto Gonzales:
Destroying our Constitution,
Destroying our Freedom"

Anything about his support for Bush's illegal wiretapping.

Anything about his support for torture.

Anything about his disrespect for the Constitution, Habeas Corpus, etc...

BTW, you can also sign this petition to impeach Gonzales:
