urban guerilla cycling training

you've been conditioned within the car culture; your body and mind have been accomodated to moving at 40 miles per hour within an armored fortress of 1500 pounds of rolling steel. anything in your way is roadkill. now you have become compassionate or you're concerned about global warming or you're sick of funneling your pay to car and oil corporations or you just want to be out in the sun and breathe or you want to ride the vehicle of the revolution or you just want to be free.... you'r ready for two wheels.

but you're scared shitless; now you're understanding what it is like to be outside the car, the potentially smashed rather than the smasher.

join us, a group of veteran urban guerilla cyclists, for an afternoon of classroom and on the mean streets training. the key to successful urban guerilla cycling (not to mention keeping body and soul intact) lies in developing a warrior mentality on your bike; why? because once you become a righteous cyclist you are in the middle of the maelstrom. it's called "aggressive defensive cycling." learn through discussion and practical training to become a real road warrior.

when: saturday march 10, 1 pm
where: cafe infoshop, 935 f st in downtown fresno betw/ tulare and kern
what to bring: you, your bike, and your anecdotes about riding in fresno
