Join us for a reception at Burning Man HQ Friday, January 26th from 5-8pm

Purpose: To bring artists, scientists and eco-heros of various shapes and
sizes together in a social atmosphere with the Burning Man staff, to
honor their

Taking "green" into consideration means thinking about the effect each of
your decisions has on the environment and choosing the least harmful/most

to Success" about a year ago and had a profoundly transformational experience.
The seminar leader, Christopher Howard, uses NLP practices to take you through powerful
change work around a specific focus area of your choosing - either health, career, or
relationships. (I absolutely love NLP and he is such a master, really!) It is an opportunity
to work with a master trainer for three days and put all your energy and attention on an
area of your life where you would like more fulfillment and success. The rewards that are
possible from taking the time to do something like this for yourself are immeasurable.

I attended the seminar a year ago and choose to focus on my career. As a result of the
workshop I have gained inspiring new clarity around my future career direction and how
my to pattern my current experiences to be congruent with that. The workshop opened
doors to more then I had before thought possible. I set strategies for achieving my
desired outcomes and have already taken action on putting some of them into place.

I see this course as valuable to you as a forum for self growth and achieving
greater personal fulfillment, as a place to learn new skills and tools for working with

IMPEACH FLASHMOB -- SATURDAY, JAN 27, 11:50 a.m., National Mall, Washington DC

(Gather on sidewalk, Monument side of 14th Street, at the National Mall, by
11:50 a.m.)


On Saturday, Jan 6 -- just three weeks ago -- 1,000 people lay down on the beach
in San Francisco and with their bodies spelled out the message “IMPEACH!” in
100-foot letters. The story and photos (with the Golden Gate Bridge in the
background) went worldwide – front page of the Christian Science Monitor.

On Saturday, Jan 27, we are going to repeat the event here in Washington on the
National Mall at noon. Please come and be part of this historic event -- meet
at 11:50 a.m. just east of the Washington Monument – specifically, on the
sidewalk on the Monument side of 14th Street. A photographer at the top of the
Washington Monument will take a picture of 1,000 of us lying down in the grass,
spelling out “IMPEACH!” with the Capital Dome in the background. Please
come – bring anyone and everyone you can.

We need 1,000 people to fill the lettering, but can accommodate thousands more.
It will be a bang-bang affair –- no more than 15 minutes from start to finish.
If we pull this off, it will be huge (possibly NY Times, Washington Post,
etc…) and it will be historic. Don’t be late -- arrive by 11:50 a.m., look
for volunteers handing out flyers with directions, follow the flyer’s

grass, keep to the sidewalk, until the ropes that outline the lettering are in
place. At 12 o’clock sharp, if all goes as planned, you will see a volunteer
in the middle of the crowd raise a green flag. Walk slowly please into the
lettering that you will see outlined in ropes and lie down (it’s a good idea,
but not necessary, to bring a small tarp or blanket to lie down on), and wait
until you see the red flag indicating that the photographers up in the Monument
have gotten what they need, and that the event is over.

Make out for Environmental Justice this Sat! (pls fwd)

PG&E has recently launched a multi-million dollar greenwashing campaign throughout San Francisco. You may have seen their ads on the side of MUNI buses announcing what "GREEN IS..."

The campaign represents PG&E as "greening the city", but their campaign promises little and PG&E is far from green. They get less than 3% of their energy from solar and wind sources combined AND they have lobbied against incentives for installing solar panels in the recent past. Meanwhile, the alternative to PG&E, Community Choice Energy, promises to run San Francisco on 50% renewable energy sources – mostly solar and wind - within the next decade.

So... how does this relate to making out?

Well, as part of their "commitment" to greening this city, PG&E has installed solar panels to the rooftop of the LGBT Center on Market; and they are having a press conference and green fair to let the world know about it!

So... a group of conscientious queer and queer-friendly folks want to let that press know that we love the LGBT center, but are not too happy with PG&E's deceptive campaign.... and we are going to do something about it!

Come help us make a scene outside the LGBT center this Saturday! Wear green, have fun, and get noticed (that's the point)!

1/2 cucumber
1/2 avocado
squirt of braggs liquid aminos
pinch cayenne
2 cups spinach
1 cup water
fresh dill
fresh thyme
