EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL JANUARY 6 OR JANUARY 7...


SATURDAY MORNING, Dec 9 -- Dangerous surf conditions have forced postponement of the Beach Impeach Project until Saturday Jan 6 or Sunday Jan 7. The Park Service, the event insurer, and the helicopter company have all agreed to "roll over" everything to whichever date we pick. I'm checking calendars before picking.

Sorry for any confusion... but I must say that I think this is going to work out absolutely perfectly in the end. If Bush doesn't resign and take Cheney and his entire administration with him before the New Year (my personal prediction and fantasy: they're gone by Christmas), I am convinced (due to the incredible momentum that I, at the center of the Beach Impeach Project, could feel building during the seven and a half days between the time I received the permit and the time I had to postpone the event) that we'll have a capacity crowd at the beach on Jan 6 or Jan 7. And we will capture the visual image that will express to our elected leaders just how the majority of us feel: Bush has proved himself incapable of the job of President (at a minimum he's demonstrated terrible leadership, bad 'vision', incompetence, and now he seems to be losing his grip on everything, including even himself) and he simply must go or be impeached.

I am going to park my taxi (red-and-yellow Metro Cab #914) down at Ocean Beach near Stairway 17, right in front of the Beach Chalet Restaurant) at 10:30 on Sunday morning to break the news to anyone who hasn't received news of the postponement. If the surf permits I'll have a bonfire for an hour or so... Join me if you want to... love to see you...
