Modesto, CA:
Tuesday, December 12 – 9:00am

In October, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors
voted to delay local implementation of California’s
medical marijuana ID card program until a ruling was
passed down in a lawsuit initiated in San Diego. San
Diego County was refusing to implement the ID program
and filed a lawsuit against the state, claiming that
our medical marijuana laws were preempted by federal
law.

Fortunately, on December 6, the Superior Court denied
San Diego's heartless claim and ruled in favor of
California's long-standing medical marijuana laws.
Next Tuesday, the Stanislaus County Board of
Supervisors will be conducting their first meeting
since this landmark ruling. Patients and advocates
will be speaking during the 'public comment' period to
ask the board to take up the ID card issue again, now
that the San Diego suit is resolved.

Please attend this important meeting to help ensure
Stanislaus County's leaders keep their word and move
to protect patients.
