Indigenous People's Day at Alcatraz

i thought that the person who sent this to a list I'm on said this very nicely.

For over 30 years Indigenous Peoples have been
gathering on Alcatraz on the "thanksgiving day"
holiday for a sunrise service.

If you are interested in joining me to show support
for the original hosts of the immigrants from Europe,
there are still tickets available.

The event usually seems to draw about 3000 people, so
if you want to go, get those tickets now.

There are several ferrys leaving during the morning.
The first 2 times are sold out, and the next available
one is at 5:15 am.

I will be on the 5:15 departure, which boards from
4:45 to 5 am.

I believe there is still a strike going on regarding
the ferry workers treatment under the new tour
operator.

It is not my habit to cross picket lines, but in the
case of 500 year old injustices vs a few weeks old
injustice, I am electing to support those who have
suffered the longest.
