Lynne Stewart Victory is First Milestone for Current Peace & Civil Liberties Movements

Victory, victory is our cry! The class struggle is the reason why! Lynne Stewart, the civil rights lawyer framed on false terrorism charges, is free on bail pending appeal, and if, and only if, the appeal fails, she may serve 28 months in prison instead of 30 years. Her interpreter was sentenced to 1 year in prison and her paralegal, who has served 4 years and was faced with life in prison, was sentenced to 24 years. ALL ARE NOT GUILTY and their cases on appeal. The Lynne Stewart case is a benchmark of all of our struggles today: We must be "in their face" and point the finger at the Bush Administration as it is Bush & Co. who are the world's terrorists.

The economy is in far worse shape than it has been in 60 years of memory, and is as bad as it was at the beginning of the Great Depression of the 1930s. Meanwhile, Bush & Co. continue the till tapping of the public treasury to make themselves richer, including promoting blood for oil wars around the world, further increasing poverty at home. Lynne Stewart clearly has far more friends than Bush & Co. After all, she was a lawyer for the dispossessed, disinherited and disenfranchised, in short, the workingclass, the majority of us. She should have her right to practice law restored and all charges dismissed against her and her legal team. And Bush & Co. have fewer and fewer friends as they promote more and more wars, aided and abetted by their fellow warmongers, the Democrats. Most immediately, to show your support for Lynne Stewart and her legal team, you can vote on November 7 for the 2 peace parties on the ballot, Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party, and Yes on Props. 86, 87 and 89, No on 85 and 90; Yes on San Francisco Props D through K.

We had another milestone on October 5 in San Francisco: Carol Brouillet of the 9/11 Truth Movement was able to speak from the stage of the peace rally that day in San Francisco. This is 5 years overdue! The 9/11 Truth Movement practices the same "in your face" fightback politics that Lynne Stewart teaches and lives, and is the shining star of the peace movement. EVERY SINGLE PEACE RALLY IN THIS COUNTRY HENCEFORTH MUST FEATURE THE 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT.

FROM NOW NOW, EVERY SINGLE ACCUSATION OF TERRORISM MUST BE TURNED AROUND TO POINT THE FINGER AT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. It should have been obvious to all activists in the peace and civil liberties movement as it happened that the Reichstag Fire of 9/11/01 was an Inside Job as that is what no air defense means, and further, only the US government has the motive, means and opportunity, with its military, to perpetrate such a crime. There is no people's liberation movement anywhere in the world that could or would do such a thing. It should also have been obvious that the collapse of the Twin Towers and Building 7 was due to controlled demolition. And, as everyone who has been active in all of the peace and social justice movements knows, the US government is always lying until proven otherwise. We also know that the US military and the CIA, both agents of US capitalism, with its primary goal of maximization of profits, have been perpetrating the same heinous crimes all around the world since 1945, being the political heirs of that previous anti-communist, blood for oil warmongering government, Nazi Germany, and the US government has perpetrated heinous crimes against the workingclass of the US since its inception with the genocide of Native Americans, enslavement of Africans and vicious exploitation of the labor of the the entire workingclass. All of the bombings, such as occurred recently in London and Madrid, are, and should always be assumed to be, agent provocateur actions of the US government as that is who has the motive, means and opportunity. Our peace and civil liberties movements were strong enough to turn the Lynne Stewart case around, but she and her legal team are not free yet, and THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CHARGED. That is why whenever a Reichstag Fire occurs, it must be immediately labeled as such. The biggest bullies are the biggest cowards and that is certainly true for Bush & Co. They have absolutely nothing but war, poverty and fascism to offer, and we can never allow such a gang to get away with anything at all of humanity and Planet Earth is to survive and prosper. That was clearly the strategy of Lynne Stewart and her legal team and that certainly must be the strategy of the peace and civil liberties movements. Congratulations to Lynne Stewart and her legal team! The struggle continues.
