Select Committee on Guns, Violence and Crime

by Francisco Da Costa
The Select Committee on Guns, Violence and Crime headed by Sophie Maxwell was formed to address the above mentioned issues but also to find solutions. As every one knows the killings and shootings are at a all time high and the state of affairs is so dangerous that the time has come to declare an Emergency. At fault Mayor Gavin Newsom, the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MPCJ) and the SF Police Department that is dysfunction in San Francisco.
Tomorrow, September 18, 2006 at 10 am in Room 263 at City Hall everyone is welcome to witness the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) state for all to hear all the good stuff the Mayor and his office is doing to solve crime. It is just the opposite.

The Director of MOCJ is Allen Nance and the Mayor is using this Black Man as a ploy and it is not working. Many of us tried to give him the benefit of the dobut - but this Black Man is a sell out and a profession Uncle Tom.

The killings and shootings have reached an all time high all over the City.

As to date we have had over 70 deaths. The main press is NOT saying much and the Mayor is now focusing on youth and truncy that has nothing to do with the stats and the deaths on the streets and in our neighborhoods. Diverting our attention. One cannot fool all the people all the time.

Behind close doors the Mayor has decided to give Over Time to the Law Enforcement that is already doing a bad job. Throwing thousands of dollars down the drain and into the cesspool.

How about the Mayor spending the thousands giving youth opportunities at Safe Havens. How about the Mayor speeding up the construction at the Joseph Lee Gym by the Bayview Opera House. How about the Mayor giving money to Street Workers trained to deal with gangs and other crime.

How about the Mayor creating Safe Havens on Kiska Road. How about the Mayor walking the walking and not just talking the talk.

How about our SISSY MAYOR sitting with real women and men and talking sense. Complete with Accountability and Transparency. Can you imagine a Mayor taking on the youth without any input from the youth? What is the Youth Commission doing? Is there anyone in our City that has the balls to take on this sissy Mayor?

Behind Close Doors there are plans drawn up to drive thousands of people of color. In order to do this our RACIST CITY is doing all in their power - to harass youth, adults, mostly people of color. All this is happening daily in the Southeast Sector of our City.

The Mayor is for the 49ers Stadium and the developers but not for the constituents - especially, the constituents from the Bayview Hunters Point.

In the interim the constituents have won a victory against San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.
The 33,000 signatures have stopped SF Redevelopment Agency in their tracks. Time for us to get rid of Marsha Rosen and monitor Jesse Blout, Michael Cohen and the crooks that work with SFRA.

Sophie Maxwell the sell out got thousands of dollars from the developers and does not know what to do. She should give the money back. She wants to run for Supervisor again but she does not have the TRUST of the community.

In the mean time the Select Committee on Guns, Violence and Crime is just wasting our time. But, it is important to attend this one meeting and send a clear signal to Sophie Maxwell and her cronies. Find out what exactly is happening and why is crime on the increase. Why is Health and Safety not as it should be in San Francisco.

Allen Nance and Sophie Maxwell have sold out and are adversely impacting thousands of people of color.

If you can make it attend the Meeting tomorrow's at 10 am in Room 263. Check out the good, the bad, and the mostly ugly.
