The Taiwan Film Festival at UC Berkeley will
showcase 8 films reflecting the breadth and vitality of Taiwanese
films. Each feature is coupled with a documentary, exploring
different topics, such as women, gender issues and sexuality; Taiwan's
conflicted past; celebrations of youth and popular culture; and the
social-political tension in the Taiwan Straits. Many of the directors

films. Documentary and feature films include: Viva Tonal (Director
Chien Wei-ssu present), Love Go Go, Tigerwomen Grow Wings, Murmurof
Youth (Director Lin Cheng-Sheng present) and Three Times. Admission
is free, except for "Three Times" on Sunday(10/1). For more
