Todd Chretien:

...It is no longer possible to believe that somehow there is a different war in Iraq than there is in the Territory or in Lebanon. That Israel and the United States are not really two countries in this war-- they are really part of one empire. and that empire stands for oil and profit-- and that is all that empire cares about and understands.

We have-- and I'll just speak bluntly-- there are far too many people in the country right now who believe that you can separate the war in Iraq from the war in Palestine and the war in Lebanon.

Some of the biggest anti-war forces in our country believe that somehow we can withdraw our troops from Iraq without cutting off aid to Israel-- that somehow they are different policies.

What we need in this country is an anti-war movement with principles that understands that an attack in Iraq and Afghanistan and Lebanon and Gaza and the West Bank are part of the same policy of one united government of the United States [and Israel].
