Mayor Gavin Newsom where do you stand on this one?
The Joseph Lee Gym is closed because it is under construction. Keeping in mind turf wars the YOUTH have no place to go to play. Now add to this problem other gyms shut down and the youth adversely affected. So the youth gather to talk and who do you think comes to round them? Who do you think comes to haress them? Who do you think is responsible to harm our youth by using dubious ploys? Now tell me do you really think Mayor Gavin Newsom - talks the talk or does he really walk the walk? What happened to the days when he went up on the HILL we call Hunters Point to play basket ball? What has happened to all the fun fare?
One good thing a Mayor can do is be sincere? It is tough when some one talks the talk but cannot walk the walk.
Now Mayor Gavin Newsom the Mayor of San Francisco talks the talk but cannot walk the walk!
Our youth in Bayview have NO place to go play basket ball or any other indoor sports. Now add to that the gyms on Kiska Road too are shut down and the youth kept out and in the cold.
Add to that the mentality prevailing with the Housing Authority - they gave notice to close the Head Start program. It is as if this war never ends - when it rains it pours. Those that suffer are those that are innocent and poor.
Our youth need a place to play not the WiFi hoopla. Our youth need Safety and what they get is War. Where is the City on the gyms that have been closed for months now. I was waiting to see if the main media would address this issues - they are fast asleep. Thank God for IndyMedia.
Bring it on you scum bags and fix the problems - do not instigate our youth - help our youth and do not talk down at them.
