NATIONAL WEEK OF CAMPUS ACTION
Week of March 13-17
Students Say NO to War in Iraq!
College Not Combat, Troops Out Now!

On March 13-17*, students will hold events at high schools and colleges
around the country demanding an immediate end to the occupation of Iraq
and money for young people's education, not military recruitment. This
week of action leads into the global days of protest on March 18-19,
where students will join many others in marking the anniversary of the
invasion of Iraq and demanding to bring the troops home now!

(*Spring break alternative: Schools on spring break during March 13-17
will hold events the week of March 20)

Student week of action coordinated by the

WHY YOUTH & STUDENTS NEED TO STAND UP:
The illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq has taken the lives of over
2,000 American soldiers and more than 100,000 Iraqis. It has destroyed
the lives of countless more. This war affects young people everywhere,
at home and abroad. Iraqis are faced with the brutality of occupation,
under threat of bombs, guns, and torture. In the United States, we see
our educational prospects diminished and recruitment to the military
held up as our only viable future.

Now is the time for young people to stand up. And we are joined by a
growing majority that sees the lies, the torture, the chemical weapons,
and the corruption and arrogance of our politicians and says NO MORE.

There is a student movement bringing this message to campuses around
the country: kicking military recruiters off of a dozen schools,
defending free speech in the face of repressive administrators and
government spying, bringing grassroots relief to New Orleans and the
truth about the occupation to our schools. On the third anniversary of
the war in March 2006, this movement's voice will be heard!

WHAT YOU CAN DO
Email RecruitersOut [at] yahoo.com to:
- Endorse this day of action
- If you're a student: let us know about an action being planned at
your school, or ask us to put you in touch with other students near you
- If you're an activist off-campus: Help organize massive protests on
March 18-19. We will put you in touch with the anti-war student groups
nearest you to facilitate grassroots coordination.

Would you have told Rosie the riveter to stay home so we could not have fought WW II?

Here's a picture of patriots in WW II in Manhattan protesting Germany's treatment of Jews and the Nazi Party.

At the next march, look around and see how your grandparents fought and died so that you could cozy up to the enemy and give them aid and comfort in seeing you protest fighting them. Or are you unfamilar with the beheadings that they'd ike to do to ebery one of you?

Go away, Michael. Even in your prime you were a piece of shit your mother should have drowned in the river at birth, and now you're just a stupid irrelevant old man
The Bush regime are the closest equivalent in today's world (amongst on power regimes) to the Nazi Party in World War II. So if you going to use the World War II example, you should eb fighting the immoral, illegal, concentration camp and torture supporting regime here in the United States.
by Michael's whacko quotes
"I'm sorry that the best part of you dripped down your hooker momma's leg."

I think the poor little keyboard warrior who wrote this is angry, and pathetic. Here's some more from the right wing nut:

"I'm going to save time. You are ill-informed. Please do not have children and get off the crack."

You're a real patriot. LOL! But here's the doosy--true ignorance of all laws, the constitution, and the ramifications of these type of actions:

"And if we have to torture certain people to extract information to stop a 9/11 or worse, I'll gladly participate, as would any patriot."

1. It is against All international law to do so, laws ratified by the U.S. (see something called Geneva Conventions for reference)

2. Torture has been proven totally ineffectual in achieving desired results anyway....people just say what they think the captor wants to hear--whether it's true or not.

3. Real war vetrens (not keyboard patriot-chicken hawks who have a stupid nephew in the marines) know that this puts U.S. troops at risk for the same treatment anywhere, anytime.

4. None of this really addresses the salient issues, and thoise are that of U.S. imperialism, neo-colonialism, lies, deceipt, abuse of power and corruption. But that is far too much to begin a course on for mIchael.

I'll let TW school him if he so chooses.

I tried. This guy's totally impenetrable

Churchill was an asshole, but less of an asshole than Hitler, and an asshole that one would prefer to side with given the choice between the two.

But really, isn't there some rule that says who brings up the word "Nazi" automatically loses the debate?
