Grownupism!
1 Day, When I Grow Up!


As usual, I wuz sittin’ an’ stinkin’ ‘bout problums! Not the arithmetic kinda problums, but those other problums, I havta write an’ talk ‘bout in skool!
Ev’rytime I look up, there is sumthin’ goin’ on or goin’ wrong!
Ol’ Stetson hat jes keeps on diggin’ deeper holes for the rest of us, while he claimes he’s doin’ right to spread democracy an’ that no matter wut, he’s stayin’ the curse an’ we shuld follow him! Follow him where?
General Custer rides again, as my perents an’ the dragon-teecher say! Unfortunately!
“The problem with his bumblin’ is, he only has to pay with his office, but other peeple all over the wurl are paying with their lives”, Granma sed, “If people knew when they pushed the wrong button to make him president, what they know now, I hope election would have had a different result!? I hope!”
The dragon-teecher sez, “Perhaps the country is young and has to work out it’s adolescence by putting unfortunates in charge of life and death considerations. That’s no excuse, but it does offer some hope for the future – I hope!”
Wow, the dragon-teecher is hopin’ like granma. Ev’rybody is down on ol’ Stetson hat an’ I guess from wut ev’rybody sez, he deserves it!
Problum is, he is not the only one payin’ for his stumblin’ bumblin’.
The weather is turnin’ cold an’ the leaves are changin’ colors. Maybe this means the nature is cleanin’ house an’ gittin’ ready for a renewal next spring?
Granma sez, “if only the changing of the politics and people, especially now, could be dropped, swept away and renewed when spring arrives! What a wonderful dream that would be, instead of the nightmare we’re living.”
All these problums I hear ‘bout an’ read ‘bout an’ see on T.V. are startin’ to make me feel sorta down inside – sorta unhappy an’ sorta lost!
So, as usual, I go to granma an’ cuddle in her lap an’ she puts her arms aroun’ me an’ in a little while, I start to feel better allover! Wut a great granma I have!
I’m reely reely lucky to have such a wunderful family, papa, mama an’ granma, to cum home too an’ that loves an’ takes care of me an’ my sister, an’ each other.
All this worryin’ is exhaustin’ an’ yukky, so I guess I’ll jes stay in granma’s arms as long as I can an’ tell evr’ybody

Erwachsensein!
Eines Tages, wenn ich erwachsen werde!

Wie üblich war ich am Sitz'n und Stink'n üba Probleme! Nich' die Art von arithmetischen Problemen, sondern diese ander'n Probleme, üba die ich inner Schule red'n und schreib'n muss!
Jedesma', wenn ich hochschau', passiert irgendwas oder geht was schief!
Olle Texashut gräbt einfach weiter tiefere Löcher für den Rest von uns, während er vorgibt, das Richtige zu tun, um Demokratie zu vabreit'n und, komme was wolle, er bleibt auf der Schiene und wir soll'n ihm folg'n!
Ihm folg'n, wohin?
General Custer reitet wieder, wie meine Eltern und die Drachenlehrerin sag'n! Unglücklicherweise!
"Das Problem mit seiner Durchmogelei ist, dass er nur mit seinem Amt bezahlt, aber andere Menschen auf der ganzen Welt bezahlen mit ihrem Leben," sagt Oma, "wenn die Menschen gewusst hätten, als sie den falschen Knopf drückten, um ihn zum Präsidenten zu machen, was sie jetzt wissen, hoffe ich, dass die Wahl einen anderen Ausgang genommen hätte!"
Die Drachenlehrerin sagt: "Vielleicht ist das Land jung und muss sich durch die Pubertät bringen, indem es Unglückseligen die Verantwortung überträgt, um zwischen Leben und Tod abzuwägen. Das ist keine Entschuldigung, aber es lässt Hoffnung für die Zukunft aufkommen - hoffe ich!"
Wow, die Drachenlehrerin hofft wie Oma. Jeder hat es auf olle Texashut abgesehen und ich vamute, nachdem, was jeder sagt, vadient er's!
Problem is', er is' nich' der einzige, der für sein torkeliges Rumgemogle bezahlt.
Das Wetter wird kälter und die Blätter ändern ihre Farbe.
Vielleicht bedeutet das, die Natur macht Hausputz und bereitet sich auf eine Erneuerung im nächsten Frühling vor?
Oma sagt: "Wenn nur auch der Wechsel der Politik und der Leute, besonders jetzt, fallen gelassen werden könnte, weggefegt und erneuert, wenn der Frühling kommt! Was für ein wundervoller Traum das wäre, statt des Alptraums, in dem wir leben."
Diese ganzen Probleme, von den' ich höre und üba die ich lese und ihm Fersehen seh', beginn', mich irgendwie innerlich 'runterzuzieh'n - mach'n mich irgendwie unglücklich und irgendwie valor'n!
Also, wie üblich, geh' ich zu Oma und kuschel mich in ihren Schoß und sie legt die Arme um mich und nach einer kurzen Weile fang' ich an, mich rundum besser zu fühl'n! Was für 'ne tolle Oma ich doch hab'!
Ich hab' wirklich, wirklich echt Glück, so 'ne wunderbare Familie zu hab'n, Papa, Mama und Oma, und nach Hause komm' und sie lieb'n und kümmern sich um mich und meine Schwester und um einander.
Dieses ganze Sorgenmachen is' anstrengend und ätzend, also denk' ich, ich werd' einfach in Omas Armen bleib'n, solange ich kann und jedem davon erzähl'n.
