Diamond Dave's Sixth Show
More tasty treats from the streets of San Francisco.
Listen now:
Diamond Dave leads an expedition to eternity with this episode.
We start with Joe Shakarchi, Poet, who introduces his CD "Sunrise in the West", with John Densmore, Manose and Stephen Kent backing him up. Cuts played were:
"Realm of Possibilities", "Stuttering Boy", "The Mountain Top"
Joe also reads "Everything You Know is Wrong", and "You Are Not Who You Were"

Next, Thomas McCabe's DVD is introduced. "Bum's Paradise - A documentary about the Albany Landfill Encampment" Albany is a town in the north bay, where the homeless, who strive for civilization in a world of NeoCon-artists, live in a nearby land-fill. Robert 'Rabbit' Barringer and Thomas describe the new world of life springing from the waste of the old world. A couple of poems and a cut by U Utah Phillips & Ani DiFranco fall into the mix. 'Rabbit' sings "When You're a Bum" and then talks truth. From "Fellow Workers" we also play "Stupid Song".

Carson reads his poems "Two Dollars and Twenty Seven Cents" and "Shackles and Satellites" and reminds us that the BART awaits. Come over to the lyricists at the plaza every Thursday night 9:30 to Midnight to catch local fire.
Running time 53:30
