all to benefit Critical Resistance!

Why are so many people in prison? Critical Resistance (CR) is a national
grassroots organization building a movement to end society's reliance on
prisons and police to "cure" social problems. CR Oakland is one of ten
member led and run CR Chapters around the nation. We need you to join us
in our campaigns to end 10pm curfews for people on parole, to reduce
prison spending by reducing the number of people in prison and invest in
social services that truly build safe communities, and to stop the use of
Operation Impact policing in Oakland. CR also produces a monthly radio
show on KPFA and a newspaper, "The Abolitionist."


The PARKWAY is located at 1834 Park Blvd. right by Lake Merritt in
Oakland, cross street is East 18th St. Parking is free and plentiful and
the theater is just a short walk from the Lake Merritt BART Station.
