American Indian Movement activist Leonard Peltier was recently moved to Terra Haute, IN, from Leavenworth, KS. This has been further exacerbated by the forcing of Peltier into 'the hole' for an indeterninate period of time.

Barry Bachrach, attorney for Peltier, gives an interview to indybay.org about the situation. He describes the current need to contact the Federal Prisons system and get him put in the normal system, as well as gives an update on the current state of appeals to his case.

He asks people to go to their website and review a sample letter to the Bureau of Prisons and send an appeal to treat Leonard fairly and with dignity.
