by Encourage new leadership
The Bay Guardian is more progressive than the Weekly, but not progressive enough to lead this movement. It often falls behind; it maybe that it's leadership can's see far enough ahead and hence we keep getting beat.

They did not insist that Ammiano and Alioto pledge to support
the progressive against Newsom and thus Ammiano dissappeared and Alioto sold out to be vice-mayor. Now we get Newsom, demolitions of rent-controlled housing, and other anti-progressive and anti-working people activity.

Jane Kim represents the next generation of organizers, and brings a lot of new folks with her. She would be fabulous on the school board, and the Guardian couldn't even say a kind word about her. Major oversight.

We will never win unless we get a strong voice on our side to offset the power of the Chronicle and Examiner.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
