GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE MARCH FOR HEALTHCARE
Saturday, June 19 – Bus departs from the Central Labor Council offices at 7:00 AM
Thanks to UFCW Local 870, Alameda County activists can ride in style to the Healthcare March across Golden Gate Bridge this Saturday. Thousands of union members will assemble at Crissy Field in San Francisco and march across the bridge to demonstrate support for SB2, the Healthcare Act.
One of the main speakers for the event is Diane Powe, UFCW Local 870 member and our own Alameda County activist. She'll join Judy Goff, members of "Team (Barbara) Lee," and other unions on the bus - the easiest, fastest way to get to the March.
Important!
Call Wendall at 632-4242 to reserve a seat.
Plan to arrive at the Labor Council by 7:00 AM and return mid-afternoon. Your transportation is covered, so bring pocket money for water and refreshments.
We will pass the hat to tip the driver.
Travel light. No signs, large backpacks, or water bottles will be allowed on the bridge.
