South African AIDS Activist Zackie Achmat will speak on the struggle of people living with HIV and AIDS in South Africa for access to life-saving drugs. Achmat is chair of the Treatment Action Campaign of South Africa, one of the country's leading HIV/AIDS actitivist organizations. The film, "Patient Abuse: South Africa's Struggle for AIDS Treatment," a documentary film on the Treatment Action Campaign, will also be shown. The Vukani Mawethu Choir will sing South African Freedom songs The suggested donation is $5 - $10. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
