What the Women of Afghanistan Want Saturday, November 3, 2001 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm The Women’s Building, 3543 18th Street (on 18th Street between Guerrero and Valencia), San Francisco, CA Come hear Tahmeena Faryal of RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan) the most renowned, outspoken Afghan-based women’s organization. RAWA has been challenging the Taliban, as well as the Northern Alliance, and is working on building a secular, democratic government that respects women’s rights.
