IMMIGRANT WORKERS FREEDOM RIDE

The IWFR is a national effort led by the more progressive elements of the labor movement to organize a series of freedom rides to Washington DC in support of immigrant rights. Based on the freedom rides of the civil rights movement, the IWFR is attempting to link the struggles for African American rights during the civil rights movement to the struggles for immigrant rights today. Saturday, September 20, 11AM marks the send off event for the San Francisco Bay Area.
