On November 8 the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved a US-sponsored resolution demanding that Iraq readmit weapons inspectors and threatening Iraq with attack if it did not comply. Now the weapons inspectors are on the ground in Iraq, the military buildup in the Middle East continues and various war plans are daily being leaked to the press.
