ILWU Rally against Taft-Hartley
A rally against the invocation of the Taft-Hartley Act by the Bush administration to end the lockout of the ILWU was held October 10 in San Francisco.
Two hundred members of the ILWU and their supporters attended a sprited rally October 10 to denounce Bush's use of the Taft-Hartley act to end the lockout of the union by the Pacific Maritime Association. Speakers from the ILWU as well as international labor vowed to fight what Local Ten president Richard Mead termed the "battle between international capital and international Solidarity."
