So...what do we know about Gitmo?

So...what do we know about Gitmo?

1. We know that hundreds of people are there
being held in violation of the normal rights
which would be recognized for POWs.

2. We know that there is plenty of torture.

3. We know that there is very little effort
at interrogation.

4. We know that none of the really really bad
guys known to be in custody...are there...which
means they are in some other location...probably
illegally...and in violation of treaties.

5. We know that the entire world is angry about
Gitmo.

6. We know the U.N. has asked that we close Gitmo.

7. We know that we don't know whether anyone there
is actually guilty of anything.

8. We know, for sure, that what is going on at Gitmo
would not have been allowed under other recent
Presidents.

9. We know that we look like, smell like, act like...
a rogue regime.

10.We know that Americans are "shocked" that citizens
of other countries fail to take action when there are
mere rumors about atrocities like this. Yet only a few
Americans are presently involved in active efforts to
promote impeachment.

11.We know it is unpatriotic and un-American and damned
pathetic for any American to do NOTHING about Gitmo.
