Hunger Strike & Vigil continue at San Francisco Federal Building
The seven-day hunger strike and 24-hour-per-day vigil culminates Monday, March 28th, with a march to Senator Diane Feinstein's office at Montgomery and Market.
Immigrant communities and their allies are in the midst of a week long series of actions to demand that the US Senate vote against pending legislation which criminalizes undocumented immigrants and service providers who assist them, requires day laborer centers to check immigration papers, and requires local law enforcement to work as federal immigration agents. It has already passed the US House of Representatives, and is currently being debated by the US Senate.
