World Ag Expo ~ Racism in our California Heartland
Congressional support for Black Farmers is required
Michael Harris, California Director
Black Farmers and Agriculturalist Association

Strategic Sponsor of the World Ag Expo 2006 will be selected to address the ongoing effort to limite participation of Black Farmer at the largest agriculture show in the world.

Black Farmers continue to face unique and limiting obstacles to basic equal opportunity. World Ag Expo officials continue to stand upon a historic U.S. Supreme Court ruling, "the black man has no rights the white man is bound to respect." Several Congessional leaders have been contacted to attempt to bring reason since California State Agricultural Legislators no longer have direct oversite of the World Ag Expo.

Our world will not silently stand by and allow this behavior to continue. Imagine the response at the World Trade Organization talks in Hong Kong, China, where the notion of Trade not Aid is met with artificial obstacles of historic bigotry and disparaging treatment.

Interest from innovative agribusinesses industry participates from around the world are greeted with a disclaimer of disparaging treatment directed only at Black Farmers looking to access the world's largest agricultural market. In fact Niger remains one of world' poorest nations and has additional roadblocks to feed a dying population.

During this 40th Season of Kwanzaa Celebrations, a 'California Grown' agricultural celebration, of Black Farmers harvest, a strategic determination of which major financial sponsors of the World Ag Expo will face a global boycott of their goods and services that are used to sponsor racial disparaging treatment against Black Farmers.

Black Farmers in America continue endure a historic battle for survival. Why would World Ag Expo 2006 take historic California Racism to a new level. In the wealthiest region of our California Agriculture industry world consumer opinion could make a change in the policy of exclusion and provide a brighter tomorrow.
