Celebrate Vegetarianism with Mayor Newsom Feb 9th

by Colleen
Don't miss the veg event of the year! Join Mayor Gavin Newsom, Julia Butterfly Hill, VegNews Magazine and Millennium Restaurant to celebrate the San Francisco winners of the 2004 VegNews Veggie Awards. The wine will be pouring, organic hors d'oeuvres abundant, soy lattes brewing, and the excitement astonishing as we honor the best of the best in the vegetarian industry.
Each year, thousands of VegNews' readers around the country vote for their favorite people, products and places in the largest survey of its kind in the world. The Veggie Award results are published in the November/December holiday edition of the magazine, and in 2004 San Francisco not only took top honors as the #1 veg-friendly city in the world, but six other SF-based companies and people were voted favorites as well. Honored will be:

San Francisco

Favorite Veg Restaurant
Millennium Restaurant

Favorite Veg Chef
Eric Tucker

Favorite Natural Food Store

Favorite Farmer's Market

Favorite Veg Brunch

Mayor Newsom will be in attendance to accept the Most Veg-Friendly City award, and guests will be treated to delicious organic hors d'oeuvres, ample wine and champagne, desserts, surprise favors, and an evening of fun and entertainment.
