by Boycott Sinclair
Help Kerry: Boycott Sinclair!

Don't let Sinclair Broadcasting push propaganda as a news item!

Update 10/19/04

The Boycott is working folks! Take a look
at Sinclair's stock price--going down, down,
down and reports of insider trading to boot!
But, we must keep the pressure up. In fact,
we need to push even harder!

"The move to broadcasting a 'news special' in lieu
of the entire documentary is not nearly enough to
let us yield, not yet," said Nick Davis, founder
of http://www.boycottsbg.com , a leading
site where citizens can easily send automated
messages to the FCC, Sinclair Broadcast Group,
and their advertisers. "Citizen action has so far
has been successful -- with nearly 100 advertiser
pullouts and more coming in daily, but we can't stop now."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ACTION ALERT:
Writing letters and placing calls to the management of Sinclair is a
waste of time. Even contacting the local station affiliates Sinclair
owns is a waste of time. It's widely recognized that the way to get the
message to Sinclair about how destructive their choice is, is by
contacting their advertisers. Money talks and Sinclair knows that. We
all need to contact as many advertisers as possible to let them know
that our disgust with Sinclair won't be limited to their company. The
decision to misuse our public airwaves will be retaliated in the
marketplace and the target will be those who financially support
Sinclair's anti-democratic agenda.
You can send the message below either "as is" or customize the warning
yourself. After hitting "Send," your message will be automatically
emailed to a growing list of Sinclair advertisers, both local and
national!
http://www.boycottsbg.com/advertis...emailall.aspx
You can view the Top Ten list of advertisers by clicking:
And last but not least ... please sign the petition:
Thank you for doing your part to protect Democracy!
# 7pm Sun Oct 31 Baker @ Oak / Fell
Halloween Parade-join!! gathering people together for the annual parade
starting at the tower at the end of the Panhandle. We wanted to combine
costume with the upcoming election. Johanna will be in a Statue of
Liberty costume that will urge poeple to vote...so far we have a rough
idea of something in the front saying something like "Keep Me Free" or
"I am Your Voice" and on the back saying "Vote"in English, Spanish, and
Chinese...any suggestions for a front sentence? Anyone have any costume
ideas that want to join in? littlelibchen [at] earthlink.net h [at] planttrees.org
