# Musical Town Hall Revival Fri Sep 17 6-11 pm donation 1074 Folsom
Once upon a time, most people lived in towns. And when folks wanted to
come together, they'd have a Town Hall meeting. In the spirit of
community building, we're reviving the Town Hall concept and adding a
musical twist. Come meet kindred spirits, dialog, dance, and maybe even
romance.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm. We'll begin with some socializing and
freeform discussions about community activism and social evolution. The
basic theme is "Another World is Possible". At around 8:00 pm we'll
begin our musical offerings with performances by Jolie, an Ursa Minor
recording artist, galen and friends playing classic folk/rock, and
Fontain's M.U.S.E. promoting world peace through high-energy Eastern
dance grooves.
Do you believe another world is possible? ...a world that celebrates
diversity ...a world where there is freedom, peace, and prosperity for
all ...a world where truth, justice, and accord is the order of the
day. The time is ripe for evolution! A new Consciousness is being
born. Come celebrate the power of positive thought. Wake and make
waves!
We realize that this is the first day of EarthDance, but for those of us
who will be in the Bay Area Friday, September 17th let's massage the
body politic to create a more perfect union. Join your friends and
neighbors for this fun-raiser brought to you by the PAN PartY, the
political arm of 3Pm, the Progressive-Populist Peoples' movement.
Come one, come all... to the Musical Town Hall Revival (MTHR)

Berkeley CoHousing Common House 2220 Sacramento @ Allston
Nick Wright recently returned from the Tenth International Conference on War Tax Resistance and Peace Tax Campaigns in Brussels, Belgium. He will tell us about his participation in that gathering as well as the protests against the Republican Convention in NYC.
Lorin Peters, a war tax resister since the Vietnam War, spent the summer with the Christian Peacemaker Team in Hebron. He looks forward to “sharing some images, and discussion, of the occupation of Palestine, nonviolent approaches to change, and signs of hope."

# FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE! SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL STEPS
Fri Oct 1 12 to 2PM AND 4 to 6 PM.
World Farm Animals Day (http://www.WFAD.org) is an annual INTERNATIONAL campaign by the same fine folks that sponsor the annual Meat Out Campaigns. see the other events happening internationally at http://www.wfad.org/actioncenter/wevents.htm .
This year the campaign is reflecting on this election year and its focus on our legislators. Making them more aware, the campaign is asking them to sign "proclamations" http://www.wfad.org/images/scrollTR.gif (view the proclamation here)
Likewise the general public will also be made aware with banners, posters, leafletting, Plasma screen “Body TV”, showing cruelty footage, bullhorn, props including a life-size veal crate. A focus on each Animal Rights issue that farmed animals face (i.e. foie gras (SB 1520) , downers, veal, egg and chickens, circus and more) will be featured throughout the day.
Speakers will be on hand (to be determined). City approval has been obtained

Vote NO on prop 64, which would also gut environmental protections.
