Press Conference, Thursday, May 20th, San Francisco - 11:00 AM, Second Floor, War Memorial and Veteran’s Building, 401 Van Ness Ave., with Carol Brouillet, Joyce Lynn, Tom Pattinson… reporting on the SF International Inquiry, the Commission, the Toronto International Citizens’ Inquiry.

As the Kean Commission prepares to meet with Mayor Guiliani in New York City for public hearings, the emerging 9-11 Truth Movement is publicly challenging the legitimacy of the official investigations.
Carol Brouillet, co-founder of the 9/11 Truth Alliance and producer of the San Francisco International Inquiry into 9/11, Phase One, said,

"In January of 2002, forty of us marched on our Senator's office demanding a Congressional Investigation of 9-11. Bush and Cheney sought to limit the scope of the investigation. The Senate/House Inquiry and Commission are being overseen by men who should be investigated for their role in 9-11. There are over 24,000 signatures on the first online petition to investigate the oddities of 9-11; a new petition supporting 9-11 widow, Ellen Mariani's RICO Case against Bush and other officials, has over 10,000 signatures. The San Francisco Inquiry drew 150 registered participants, 25 media representatives, dozens of filmmakers, and the public purchased over 750 tickets. The number of people becoming active increases daily as the unexplained facts emerge in books, film, art, music, over local TV stations, the radio, via the internet, and in the streets.”

The Kean Commission was appointed by the Bush administration only after a howl of protest from the families of the 9-11 victims. The Bush administration, and Mayor Guiliani, had publicly declared that an investigation into the 9/11 attacks was not warranted. The Commission is not unbiased, including several members with clear political, financial, and personal ties to those the 9/11 Truth activists claim should be under investigation themselves. Joyce Lynn, an independent political journalist, said,
“I doubt whether the Commission will deliver significant new information that deviates from the official story. The Commission has proven itself unwilling to investigate the most important lines of evidence the families of victims themselves have identified. I believe this is a case of insiders covering for insiders. “

To address shortcomings of official investigations, the 9/11 truth movement has created its own investigations and inquiries, including the upcoming five-day International Inquiry in Toronto, May 25-30, which builds on the San Francisco conference.

The National Green Party has also denounced the Commission and called for a real independent investigation "with full participation of surviving family members." Actor and activist Ed Asner has urged peace and justice activists across the country to recognize "9-11 as Ground Zero for the Peace Movement."

NY 9/11 Truth is preparing for Phase Three with 9-11 widow, Ellen Mariani, her lawyer Phil Berg, former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, joining the outspoken Scott Ritter and 9/11 activists at Riverside Church in New York this weekend. 9/11 Visibility Projects have begun in thirty cities. The Peace Movement and the 9-11 Truth Movement are merging into a powerful force.
