Oops my Bad only the first to minutes are in a Language I can't identify.
Translation of the first one minute forty seven seconds of this program.
"The war in Iraq does not seem to be over al all, but in the meantime the rebuilding has already started. This has unleashed fiercecompetition for contracts, which are mainly awarded to American (ed: U.S.) companies.
What is remarkable about these companies, is that they have people on their payroll from American politics and the military. Is this a conflict of interest, or is this the new global way of doing business?
[text in the screen at this time reads: 'the iron triangle']
One of the companies that operates in this manner is the Carlyle Group."
On their payroll are people like : George Bush (Sr.), James Baker III and old premier John Major.
The Carlyle Group is a private investment bank which doesn't come to the publics attention very often but it is one of the biggest American (ed: USA) investors of the defense industry, telecom, property and financial services.

I have been (shoudl say was) an adamant Mac user since the first time I touched one in a UT library, 1985. Before that, I had been a tech for army, back when the only OS was UNIX 360. The Mac was glorious. Ended up, in the next ten years, as a subcontractor for SR technology with Mac.
All this came to an end when I bought my first (last) Titanium G4 Powerbook, and discovered it would only boot with Mac OSX. I tried the OS, like all those who came before it (6x, 7.0, 7.1, 7.5x, 7.6x, 8x and 9x). But this OSX was not something I could ever love OR tolerate. The worst was the fact that it would not accept any of my PCMCIA cards from my PB3400 and PB1400 models. No SCSI interface, for all my tons of hardware. Could not even write a file to external media that would not screw up my other computers AND hard drives with 500,000 invisible files (.DS_store, VolumeSettingsFolder, FindByContentFolder, etc). Then I discovered the Firewire port, although it said "800mb/s, would only do that with an APPLE device, not compliant with any PC firewire device above 400mp/s, and my USB ports were the same, claiming to be 2.0, yet unable to negotiate with ANYTHING that I plugged in above USB 1.1 protocol. Then, the last straw was the fact that I had bought the damned thing to use as an editor for a DVDRamCam a client bought me to make a documentary of a trip from Nepal to Indonesia. The laptop would not mount the CDs -in the tray or in the camera! No mini-CDs could be inserted, anyway....
I had to write my own modules and extensions to get it to boot OS9, and finally succeeded (in a separate partition). Got it to recognize my SCSI pcmcia card and all my other peripherals -on OS9. But OS 9 did not grasp the power reg system or the screen backlight, so it could never spin down the HD, sleep, or even shut off the screen. I am no dummy, I made the first fully-autonomous AI/speaking robot that hosted a TV show, but I could NOT make this laptop useful no matter how hard I tried.
Finally, when we reached Vietnam, I was so p****d off, I tossed the useless overpriced GUCCI-BAG into China Beach. I am sure the fish hate me for that, but it felt good to dispose of the worthless junk, with "extreme prejudice".
When I reached Singapore, I bought a "Prestigio" laptop, 2.4ghz, 80mb HD, 1gb RAM, firewire (real 800mb/s and USB2.0) for 546 bucks (and got tax back when I left). Now I have Mepis Linux, and Win98SE, Win2K and WinXP (all on separate partitions). Ther is no hardware I cannot recognize without ANY drivers, and there are no Real Audio files I can no longer (the Guccii-Bag Laptop wouldn't open MOST video formats anyway).
Now that the GUCCI-BAG manufacturer is not only restricting users to OSX (the slowest and sloppiest OS on the planet, EVEN worse than XP), and plans to use INTEL processors (the ones that cannot add), what advantage is left? None. They can't even make an iPod that survives a trip into the pocket. I quit "Mac" evangelizing last November, and I have never been so happy. I suggest you do the same. Then you can use USB 2.0, and watch this .RM movie (which plays great on Mepis, by the way)

P.S. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BALANCE OF MY LETTER ????? DID I TYPE IT FOR NOTHING?
Bechtel is in even deeper cahoots with the administration, but you hear less about Bechtel Than Halliburton, and even less about Carlyle - the odor is VERY strong and unpleasant.
Cheney, Rumsfeld - re-treaded Nixon underlings - the previous depth of American democracy.
From Katrina to porous borders, to the bogus case for Iraq, to the illegal wiretapping, to the Medicare drug company give-away, to the Oil company give-away "energy policy", to tax cuts for the rich, to the demeaning of science (evolution, global warming), to the alienation of most of the world, to the largest deficit in history, this regime is the worst in 50 years.
Seems the Carlyle Group would've bought someone better...
They don't even hide the strings any more - it's blatant.

The war in Iraq is over. The destruction is still smoking, but the first bulldozers are pulling in to the country.
My Dutch is too rusty to translate the next line.
I hope everyone who can burn this onto a DVD will hold viewing parties.
try 100 years.
or at least since Harding/Hoover.
Can't find the video here anymore - going to to a google video search.
Cheers.

I would prefer the better quality version, since I think there's a 30-something megabyte version and a 67MB version.
Thanks...
How can any government official, in good conscience and, upon leaving office, participate with a firm strictly for their knowledge of confidential inforamtion and,, for profit! It's anti-American! Doing this, while knowing the inner most secrets of our American Government, is criminal! It defies every morale and ethical standard and value that any average American would understand. Knowing it's sacred to democracy! And, yet our most prestigious government officials, see or, had no problem or indifference on doing just that! Betraying Americas most sensitive secrets inner workings,,, all for profit!! Its treasonist and should be made public! Why isn't the media mentioning this??
Why is the President of the United States able to invest in a company that makes money from the country where he makes the disitions? Isn't that a conflict of intrest?
Instead of changing the US Consitution to define the meaning of marriage, lets add in a person holding a position in office can not invest in The Carlyle Group or any company that makes money from a war.
Is there a group for people like you and I who have opinions and would like to make a difference?
Oracle
Hope your tangled PC programs don't crash.
The real point here however is the Carlyle Group. I would dare say electing Hillary Clinton with Bill's involvement with the elder Bush is most definitely a conflict of interest. I think I will stick with a candidate who seems less tangled.
