British MP speaks at launch of new anti-war electoral coalition

Galloway is well known in Britain for calling upon British troops to refuse to fight in the illegal Iraq war. He was recently expelled from the Labour Party for doing so.

RESPECT came out of the anti-war movement and will be challenging Labour and the fascist BNP in the European and Greater London Authority elections this summer. Both have an element of proportional representation which makes it easier for the far right and the left to gain seats. Thus it is both a danger and an opportunity for the left.
