When the march in San Francisco passed by The Gap, fearful workers immediately closed the store. Shoppers were locked inside, though they appeared to continue shopping rather calmly, full of dogged pro-Gap determination. It is a strange day in the land of the capitalist freeholders when to shop means to be imprisoned, while non-buyers roamed freely in the open air.
