When money converts seas to deserts and farms to concrete,
What will we eat?
Will we spread crypto currency on our teeth?
When profits turn water into poison, and sky dark as ink,
What will we drink?
When money cuts down all the trees,
What will we breathe?
When earth is pumped dry and air sears our lungs,
Will we breathe all those mutual funds?
When floods sweep the land and winds blow down homes,
Will we drink money to feed our bones?
When banks balloon and crops crash,
Will we eat all that tasty cash?
Higher intelligence we are told,
So…
