Economic Blackout #1

The first of a series of economic boycotts will be during the day of February 28th. The boycott is against all corporate stores and food chains, as well the banks and gas stations.

Do not buy anything from any corporately owned store or restaurant, and do not use ATMs or any other banking service during this day. Do not buy gas on this day. Do not make online purchases during this 24 hour period.

It does not violate the boycott to get medical needs (medications, or other medical supplies). Many people do have their prescriptions filled at corporate pharmacies, and don't have an independent medical supply store in their neighborhood.

This is generally a Buy Nothing Day, but if you do need to purchase food or other necessities on this day, shop at your local independently owned stores, and stay away from large brands if possible.

Economic Blackout #2 will be on April 18th.
