A peek into the grim future for Americans of all races, and creed

Below are a few articles or reports that may offer a small peek into the grim future ahead for Americans of all races, gender, politics and creed. Unless they are fortune 500 companies, rich multi-millionaires, and the filthy rich billionaires of Silicon Valley and elsewhere, who are scheming to rape, pillage, plunder, and privatize the federal government, it's assets, national parks, and federal domestic programs, as quickly as is possible in the coming months, and year.

Apparently, the deranged fascist convicted felon Donald J. Trump who bamboozled his supporters into voting for him, forgot to mention to his working class supporters, his black male supporters, the Latinos who voted for him, the white voters who supported Trump all across the nation, in addition to other voters, that he plans to attack them with the Royal Screw.

EPA Employees Are Freaking Out:

With the fascist Trump regime heading back to the White House, with Republicans in control of the Senate, and House of Representatives in 2025, not only are Americans across the nation ‘freaking out,’ feeling despair, and are feeling terrified because the KKK, Neo-Nazis, white supremacists, hate mongers, and misogynists have been spreading their hatred and threats of violence all across the country, reportedly, EPA employees are also ‘freaking out’ over Trumps return to the White House.

In part the EPA story says, “In the days following the election, some employees at the Environmental Protection Agency began texting each other to vent about what President-elect Trump’s victory could mean for their workplace.
 
“It’s a new dystopian hellscape,” one employee said.
 
Another employee who received that message said it summed up the tone around EPA pretty accurately. 

“People are majorly freaking out,” she said.
 
She noted that some staff were taking a more cautious approach. They encouraged their colleagues to "wait and see," to give Trump officials the benefit of the doubt and to see what they could accomplish together. Employees with more experience, however, those who lived through Trump's first term in office, said they were not expecting much compromise.
 
“There are more people freaking out,” the employee said. 

During his presidency, Trump sought to dramatically reduce EPA’s budget and headcount, curb its regulatory ambitions and reduce its enforcement actions. He initially appointed Scott Pruitt, who as a state official had repeatedly sued EPA, to lead the agency. When Pruitt stepped down after a series of scandals, Andrew Wheeler, a fossil fuel lobbyist, took his place. The Trump administration issued an extended hiring freeze for EPA and then offered separation incentives to encourage employees to leave.

Employees sounded the alarm that political appointees were improperly seeking to influence scientific processes. They consistently conceded the administration was well within its rights to alter course on policy, but maintained their scientific findings should have remained protected. In a survey by the Union of Concerned Scientists in 2018, 70% of EPA employees said senior decision makers from regulated industries had inappropriately influenced agency actions.
The agency disbanded two of its science advisory committees and replaced the scientists on others. Employees ultimately reported feeling disenchanted, disempowered and skeptical about the value of their public service.

Project 2025, a policy shop set up by former Trump administration officials from which Trump has tried to distance himself, has called for eliminating offices and laboratories within EPA and to fire newest hires in “low-value programs.” Trump has named former Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., to lead the agency. 

The president-elect called Zeldin a “true fighter for America First policies,” and previewed what that might look like at EPA. 

“He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet,” Trump said.

USPS loses $9.5 billion in Fiscal Year 2024:

With fascist billionaire Trump supporter Louis DeJoy in control of the United States Postal System, that he has been destroying through the years, reportedly the USPS loses $9.5 billion in Fiscal Year 2024.

In part the report says, “Postal management projected USPS will once again be in the red in fiscal 2025, projecting a $6.9 billion overall loss and a $1.1 billion controllable loss. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, whose 10-year Delivering for America plan serves as the foundation of the Postal Service’s operational and financial reform efforts, initially projected that USPS would begin breaking even by 2023. Despite the setbacks, he said his vision is the only one that can put the Postal Service on a sustainable path.”

Federal Employees Across The Nation Fear The Return Of Fascist Trump Back To The White House:

Federal employees and unions fear the return of fascist Trump back to the White House. In part the story says, “Despite President-elect Trump’s track record with federal employees and unions, the National Treasury Employees Union will make every effort to work in good faith with his upcoming administration,” said NTEU National President Doreen Greenwald. “However, we are fully prepared to work with our allies in Congress and use all the tools we have to fight any and all actions taken by his administration that would harm frontline federal workers, our ability to represent them or their ability to serve the American people.

It feels different—in 2016, he was still something of an unknown,” he said of employees potentially eyeing the exits. “Now we have Trump’s first term anti-union executive orders and Schedule F on top of that, and we have Project 2025, the blueprint of exactly what they’re going to do. So it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to figure out exactly what they have planned.”

Kelley likewise vowed to fight on behalf of the 800,000 federal workers represented by AFGE against any proposals to undermine unions and civil service protections.

“Make no mistake: our union will not stand by and let any political leader—regardless of their political affiliation—run roughshod over the Constitution and our laws,” he said. “During President Trump’s first term, his administration attempted to gut many of our negotiated union contracts, downsize and relocate federal agencies at great disruption and cost to taxpayers and replace tens of thousands of nonpartisan civil servants with political appointees who would blindly do his bidding. Federal and D.C. government employees should be able to do their jobs without political interference, without violating their constitutional oath and without breaking the law—and as their elected representative, we will do everything in our power to make sure that’s possible.”

Expect Cruel Massive Budget Cuts To Federal Domestic Programs:

Another peek into the grim future ahead for Americans of all races, and creed. Reportedly, according to a recent report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, in part it reads, “Over the last several months, groups of House Republicans and the Heritage Foundation have released policy agendas that, taken together, would create a harsher country with higher poverty and less opportunity, where millions of people would face higher costs for health care, child care, and housing, and millions more would lose health coverage — all while wealthy households and corporations benefit from an unfair tax code that provides them with outsized tax breaks. These skewed priorities would exacerbate inequities in income, wealth, health, and hardship across lines of race and ethnicity, widening already glaring differences that have their roots in racism and other forms of discrimination.”

“Policies that raise costs and take away health coverage, food assistance, and other help affording the basics from people when they need them. These policies will create significant economic and health insecurity for millions of people while increasing poverty, hardship, and the number of people lacking health coverage. They will shortchange children’s futures, make it harder for millions of seniors to afford prescription drugs, and take away help that households need to afford food, housing, and child care.”

“Massive disinvestment in public services, which will limit opportunity, hurt communities, undermine efforts to address climate change, erode basic government functions, and damage the economy. For example, both the HBC and RSC budget plans call for enormous cuts in the part of the budget that funds a wide range of federal services, activities, and assistance­­ — from education investments that build the skills of our future workforce, to transportation infrastructure that supports commerce and safety, to the nation’s weather forecasting system and scientific and medical research. In addition, all three plans would repeal or let expire climate provisions of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. And all three plans call for repealing the Inflation Reduction Act’s groundbreaking investments in clean energy.”

“Medicaid Cuts Would Take Away Health Coverage From Millions of People. As noted, HBC would cut Medicaid by $2.2 trillion over ten years; RSC would cut Medicaid, CHIP, and ACA marketplace assistance by $4.5 trillion, likely by cutting Medicaid even more deeply than the HBC proposals and by making cuts to marketplace policies described below. The size of the cuts in Project 2025 is less clear but also extremely large.

The ACA’s changes to Medicaid and individual market coverage drove a precipitous decline in the uninsured rate. That is particularly true for people of color, who have historically experienced higher uninsured rates due to systemic racism, discrimination in employment and education, and other factors that diminish income and access to employer-based health insurance. Between 2013 and 2022, uninsured rates for people under age 65 dropped from 23.8 percent to 14.1 percent among American Indian and Alaska Native people, from 29.7 percent to 17.8 percent among Latino people, and from 18.7 percent to 9.9 percent among Black people. Rolling back or eliminating key ACA improvements — including the Medicaid expansion — and gutting other key Medicaid and marketplace protections would disproportionately harm people of color.”

“Gutting ACA Would Raise Health Insurance Costs Sharply and Leave Millions Uninsured. Both Project 2025 and the RSC budget would raise health insurance premiums for millions of people and weaken or eliminate the ACA’s most popular consumer and financial protections. Insurers in the individual market could charge higher premiums to people with pre-existing conditions and remove limits that protect people from very high out-of-pocket health care spending. The HBC and RSC proposals would also cut financial assistance for ACA marketplace coverage, where more than 20 million people get their health coverage and more than 9 in 10 receive premium tax credits that reduce the cost of their premiums. The agendas would also strip away anti-discrimination protections that apply to all health programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. While it is not presented as repealing the ACA, dismantling the ACA piecemeal like this would have a similar impact, with millions losing coverage.”

“Cut federal premium tax credits, raising people’s costs. The RSC plan would reduce and ultimately eliminate the financial assistance that most people in ACA marketplace plans receive to help them afford their premiums, deductibles, and other costs under comprehensive health insurance plans, shifting some funding into a block grant. Project 2025 criticizes federal marketplace financial assistance and references a separate Heritage Foundation paper that calls for establishing capped federal allotments for states in place of the current ACA subsidies. The ACA financial assistance — especially with the improvements enacted in 2021 — has helped drive a marked increase in insurance coverage rates, particularly among Black people, Hispanic people, and people with low incomes.”

“Eviscerate federal protections for people with pre-existing conditions. The RSC and Project 2025 plans would roll back federal insurance protections for people in marketplace plans in favor of separating healthy people and those with pre-existing conditions into different markets that operate under different rules.”

“Roll back federal protections that explicitly prohibit insurers and health care providers from discriminating against LGBTQ+ people and people who have had abortions or miscarriages. Section 1557 of the ACA prohibits Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) programs, as well as insurance companies and health care providers that receive HHS funding, from discriminating against members of certain protected groups. Project 2025 seeks to end protections that currently apply to LGBTQ+ individuals, pregnant people, and people who have had an abortion or miscarriage.”

That's right. The American public is in dire straits, and a small peek into the future offers a very grim situation in regards to what is in store for most Americans, except the filthy rich.
