A Statement from Abandon Harris Campaign Director Dr. Hassan Abdel Salam

by Dr. Hassan Abdel Salam
A statement from Abandon Harris campaign director, Dr. Hassan Abdel Salam, on the results of the 2024 election for Vice President Kamala Harris - 𝑾𝙚 𝙙𝒆𝙘𝒍𝙖𝒓𝙚 𝙫𝒊𝙘𝒕𝙤𝒓𝙮 𝙖𝒕 𝒚𝙤𝒖𝙧 𝙡𝒐𝙨𝒔.
The results have now come in.

This has been a long, wavering Road.

It began with an ultimatum - 𝑻𝙝𝒆 𝒓𝙚𝒊𝙜𝒏 𝒐𝙛 𝙗𝒐𝙢𝒃𝙖𝒓𝙙𝒎𝙚𝒏𝙩𝒔 𝒐𝙣 𝙖𝒏 𝒊𝙣𝒏𝙤𝒄𝙚𝒏𝙩 𝙥𝒆𝙤𝒑𝙡𝒆 𝒇𝙪𝒏𝙙𝒆𝙙 𝙗𝒚 𝒐𝙪𝒓 𝒗𝙚𝒓𝙮 𝙜𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙧𝒏𝙢𝒆𝙣𝒕 - An ultimatum issued against the president.

We called on him to declare a ceasefire permanent on the 31st of October [2023].

Abandon Biden emerged - now Abandon Harris - we called on the Vice President in July asking her for a permanent ceasefire and for a full arms embargo.

They said no.

We screamed and shouted - ceasefire now! ceasefire now! ceasefire now!

retort: ceasefire 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧.

The words, the sentiment that came from the vice president, her campaign, her surrogates.

We strove, we protested, we voted, we flyered, we canvassed

- from Michigan to Arizona

- from Georgia to Wisconsin.

Our theory was that Muslim Americans, our allies, people of conscience - just a fraction of them can swing these states away from the vice president.

Our strategy - to take the blame for the vice president's loss.

In so doing by power to send a signal to the political landscape that you should never have ignored us.

Today the results are clear.

Our Sweat and Tears redeemed.

Madame vice president your defeat at the hands of people of conscience could have been
prevented.

All people are one.

When one part of the body of humanity feels pain its entirety feels pain.

This past year has been painful.

We have striven and cried and spoken out from state to state throughout this country and now we come at this point.

𝑾𝙚 𝙙𝒆𝙘𝒍𝙖𝒓𝙚 𝙫𝒊𝙘𝒕𝙤𝒓𝙮 𝙖𝒕 𝒚𝙤𝒖𝙧 𝙡𝒐𝙨𝒔.

The reason why you lost is because at the hands of people of conscience we came - came out and we punished you.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
