Location Details:
We meet at the black obelisk in United Nations Plaza, directly across the street from the orangey-colored ACT theater on Market Street.
The intersection of Grove, Hyde, and Market streets.

Your guide will sport a California Republic bicycle cap.

Join a free walking tour exploring the statuary and buildings of Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco. The theme is "The story of civilization's journey towards equality of access to land."

What tale do the courthouses, museums, other buildings, and statues of Civic Center--and the people they're named for--tell about the social struggle to get enough food that the arts can flourish? At jaunt's end we'll share a gratis simple but tasty meal out of doors in celebration of the glories of society!

Your host is a Civics school teacher and amateur historian.
