Enough is enough - every dead civilian is one too many

by Save the Civilians
Here ‘only’ deaths are listed, not abuse, torture, rape and looting.
By the Russian army

The data comes from the Western press, some of which reproduces unchecked propaganda.

1) Shelling of civilian buildings occupied by Ukrainian troops https://www.sueddeutsche.de/projekte/artikel/politik/krieg-in-der-ukraine-was-ueber-kriegsverbrechen-bekannt-ist-e276789/?reduced=true and reports by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch

2) Shelling of neighbourhoods with heavy FAB bombs, in whose houses there are soldiers and in whose basements there are civilians (e.g. Bachmut)

3) Deaths from falling parts of Russian missiles hit by Ukrainian anti-aircraft fire over residential buildings
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-64304310 (later denied, but there are more reports of this kind )

4) Ricochets and errors

5) Direct shelling of civilians (e.g. the first massacre in Bucha, shortly after the Russian troops were ambushed
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/22/video/russia-ukraine-bucha-massacre-takeaways.html ; second shelling of rescue forces arriving at an impact site)

By the Ukrainian army

The data comes from eastern media, synchronised with western media where possible.

1) Shelling of civilian buildings where Russian troops are present

2) Shelling of events where military and civilians mix

4) Ricochets and mistakes that are often blamed on the Russian army https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_2023_Kostiantynivka_missile_strike

5) Direct shelling of civilians (e.g. the killing of people wearing white bandages during the ‘cleansing’ after the arrival of Ukrainian troops in Butsha https://overton-magazin.de/krass-konkret/graeueltaten-an-zivilisten-was-ist-in-bucha-geschehen/ ; second shelling of rescue workers arriving at an impact site; shelling of people trying to flee to the Russian zone)

Evaluation

Tucholsky already stated that ‘soldiers are murderers’. But the death of soldiers is also regrettable. The Russians come disproportionately from less developed areas, the Ukrainians are sometimes abducted directly from their workplace to the front and prevented from deserting by barrier units.

The politicians who, despite having precise information about the civilian victims of mines with parachutes, drones with explosives and HIMARS, continue to unwaveringly decide on arms deliveries, are at least as much to blame for the deaths of civilians as the soldiers.

There is only one sensible solution: an immediate ceasefire and then negotiate the rest.
