What is the difference between terrorism and state terrorism? This double standard is now all too clear when it comes to terrorist acts by Israel against Palestinians. Labeling Israel's actions in Gaza and Lebanon as state terrorism is long overdue. Let us ask ourselves, why is Hamas's violent attack against Israel on October 7, 2023 labeled terrorism, but the violent attack against Gaza is not?
Hamas βterrorβ was the resistance response to years of illegal occupation, displacement and killing. Why is the killing and kidnapping of some Israeli people condemned worldwide as a βterrorist actβ, but identical acts by βJewish state terroristsβ are not? Why are Hamas and Hezbollah labelled and persecuted as βterrorist organisationsβ, while Israel is not labelled a βterrorist stateβ and is finally held accountable for its murderous βself-defenceβ acts. As Caitlin Johnstone wrote in one of her comments:
"Everything Israel has done since October 7, it did before October 7. Rape, torture, theft, siege warfare, killing of children by snipers, murder of journalists and health workers. Israel's actions before and since October 7 show why October 7 happened."

Let us imagine that it was not Israel and its notorious secret service Mossad that was almost certainly behind these inhumane pager attacks. Was it Russia or China that came up with such perverse ideas and carried them out against their opponents? No, there would be neither "respect nor admiration", only contempt and revenge or threats of war. But since it was "only" the "Jewish state", which is under US and Western "Holocaust protection", that has the license to kill and makes ample use of it, this terrible crime will also remain unpunished.
Israel can be almost certain not only to be admired for its sophisticated technology, but also to make any weapon or idea a "best seller" - tested on living subjects. Israeli surveillance and spy systems, deadliest new weapons systems, drones and missile defense systems are eagerly purchased.

In 2012, I was in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and saw countless Palestinian graves of young students, resistance fighters, martyrs who lost their young lives in the resistance against the Israeli invaders. I will never forget these impressions, especially after the new Israeli attacks in Lebanon. I very much hope that I will live to see these Palestinian refugees and their descendants exercise their legal right to return to their homeland of Palestine in the near future. That the illegal Zionist occupation will end (2).
Maliciously welcomed murder campaign
Public opinion is strongly influenced by language. It can act like a weapon β with significant consequences. In Germany in particular, we are seeing that certain members of the public have maliciously welcomed Israel's probable Mossad attack on people in Lebanon β Hezbollah fighters are people too. Among them is Gerhard Schindler, former president of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) β he praised the explosive destruction of hundreds of radio receivers used by members of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia as "outstanding." The massive explosions that led to deaths and injuries in large parts of Lebanon could, according to Schindler, be the result of an action by the Israeli secret service.
Of course also Volker Beck, the Green President of the German-Israeli Society (DIG), and not to forget Hans Ullrich JΓΆrges, the former editor-in-chief of Stern , who said, among other things, on βMy World β My Opinionβ on September 19, 2024:
"You not only should, you MUST be enthusiastic about this secret service operation. Because: intelligence, precision and success are simply amazing. Only Hezbollah people who were carrying the things with them were hit... only people who had something to say got them... Then you have to say, as a man, I'd say it was a bit daring, that these 'terrorist machos' had their 'manhood' torn to pieces... stomach injuries... So when I draw the line under it, I say: Chapeau Mossad! Chapeau! In my opinion, that was the most successful secret service operation of all time."
A friend had sent me this excerpt, and when I watched and listened to it, I was stunned by these perverse statements by JΓΆrges (3, 4, 5, 6).
Terrorism is a sharp weapon that can have serious consequences β for individuals, who can lose their basic civil rights, be imprisoned, extradited, tortured, "marked up for killing." Organizations, groups and movements can be arbitrarily, even deliberately, designated as terrorist organizations. This means license revocation, account closure, financial penalties, censorship, dissolution and total isolation.
Even more serious is the refusal of humanitarian aid in areas under the control of "terrorist" groups, the refusal or suspension of peace negotiations with groups classified as "terrorist" or the imposition of sanctions against states, regions and population groups. A weapon frequently used by the West, which is currently being celebrated by the "Jewish occupying state" with US support.
Take Hamas and Hezbollah, for example, which have long been classified as terrorist organizations by Western governments, although most non-Western states, and of course the Palestinians as the main victims, view them as resistance organizations. In fact, they are resistance movements, now part of governments, that are resisting Israel as a "state terrorist state."

Since October 7, Israel has not only destroyed almost all of the infrastructure in Gaza, chased the Palestinian population back and forth, expelling them defenselessly like rabbits before the hunter - thousands of innocent women, children and helpless people, clearly not "combatants", and certainly not terrorists. Unarmed men have been executed in front of their relatives, families have been wantonly exterminated, hunger and disease have been used as weapons, neither churches nor mosques have been spared.
It is shocking how Israeli officials made no secret of the fact that the attacks on civilians are deliberate, which clearly confirms the concept of βstate terrorismβ.
It is intended to damage civil society and force people to turn against Hamas. All in keeping with the "Dahyia doctrine" invented during the Lebanon war in 2006, the admitted aim of the current operation is to use excessive violence, targeted killings of medical personnel, teachers, journalists, lecturers and artists, in other words to destroy the cultural capital of Palestinian society. Attacks on residential buildings and infrastructure in order to deter and force the civilian population to put pressure on resistance groups to stop attacks. Let us not allow Lebanon to experience this doctrine a second time after Gaza (9, 10).
Israel violates all rules and norms and strives to keep the front open with Hezbollah in Lebanon and with Iran, always hoping that a regional war would force the direct involvement of the United States and other Western allies, possibly Germany.
Isolation has increased. This is shown by votes in the UN. Israel's "rogue state" behavior and its persistent circumvention of international laws, regulations and rules can continue because it has strong allies in the USA and Germany. The only thing that can help against this is pressure and sanctions from the international community - against this rogue and state terror state that has violated the rights of the Palestinians with complete impunity for 76 years. So we can only hope that Israel itself will one day become too great a burden for the USA and loyal European vassals, including for world peace, and that the way will finally be paved for the liberation of the Palestinians and Palestine.
