Event Overview

Join us for a thought-provoking unconference on Saturday, October 19th, as we delve into the crucial topics surrounding relocalization and regeneration in the face of global challenges. We are honored to welcome Jem Bendell, author of the Deep Adaptation paper and collaborator on the book Breaking Together, who will kick off this transformative event with a keynote address.

This event is a collaborative exploration of community resilience, food security, small-scale economies, and ecological restoration in the Bay Area. We will use Open Space Technology to allow participants to co-create the agenda, ensuring a truly interactive and engaging experience for all attendees.

Jem Bendell

Jem Bendell is a prescient leader who, five years ago, published the Deep Adaptation paper, catalyzing a global community focused on mutual support and community-building in the face of societal and ecological collapse. He recently co-authored the book Breaking Together (2023) and is a co-founder of the Bekandze Farm School in Indonesia.

Ticketing

Tickets for this event are available on a sliding scale. This is a NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away for Lack of Funds) event. If financial limitations prevent you from purchasing a ticket, please reach out to us. Conversely, if you are able, we encourage you to purchase tickets at a higher rate to help subsidize others’ attendance.

All proceeds from the event will go toward covering venue costs, food, and contributions to Jem's farm. Any additional funds will be distributed as stipends for event organizers.
