Come along on a free walking tour that posits that most every social question boils down to "Who controls location, and upon what terms?"
Project 2025 is a desperate but methodical attempt to retain political power in the hands of authoritarians, but it is vulnerable to a specifically patriotic line of argument that the Declaration of Independence's "inalienable right to life" premise means government's chief role is to ensure equality of access to the economic value of place. Privileges to none in using the land of the USA.
Come along on a long-running walking tour that explores through numerous social movement case studies that San Francisco's and the USA's great challenges are, at base, questions of who controls location, and upon what terms.
History, personalities, methodology, conclusions. A graduate sociology course in three hours!
