The Argentinian Milei government has jailed leaders of the Piqueteros movement in
order crush this organized people's opposition to the economic agenda of the Milei
government. On
June 25, 2024 a rally was held a the Buenos Aires Court building to demand the
dropping of the charges and freedom of the political prisoners. Unions also spoke
out about this repression including the University of Buenos Aires professors.
