Join us for a unique Bay Area Permaculture Guild gathering where we'll explore how permaculture's principles of energy flow extend beyond our gardens into our social and economic lives.
RSVP please! https://partiful.com/e/qKN06tIHwVsb8ZOoFHmS
In permaculture, we design systems where each element supports another—just as your compost feeds your tomatoes. But how do we apply this to our community? When you listen to a friend, volunteer at a workday, or support a local project, you're part of this beautiful exchange.
Eva Orbuch, Oakland community organizer and Blue Heart's Program Director, will share stories from Blue Heart's partners—innovators in urban agriculture and community resilience.
Together, we'll discuss:
Seeing our skills, time, and money as forms of energy
The psychology of giving and receiving
Abundance vs. scarcity in resource sharing
Please bring a dish to share. Our potluck isn't just food—it's community energy in action!
Whether you're a seasoned permaculturist or just curious, join us. Let's explore how by valuing all our resources—especially each other—we cultivate a more sustainable, connected community.
Accessibility and Covid Information:
Parking on street.
Bathroom on ground floor.
Short walk through a garden, and then 5 steps up to the meeting room.
The meeting space is large and well ventilated.
Masks are welcome but not required. Please stay home if you feel sick. Keep each other safe!
Tea and water provided.
Let us know if you have questions!
