The Democrats in Minnesota are called the Democrat Farmer Labor Party. ( DFL )
The marijuana legalization party in Minnesota is called the Legal Marijuana Now Party. ( LMN )

The Democrats want the marijuana party to lose major party status in Minnesota which they gained by having a percentage of the vote in a past election and by fulfilling other qualifications to obtain major party status.

The Democrats claim that the Legal Marijuana Now party candidate for President of the United States of America 2024, Dennis Schuller, may possibly have committed perjury when filing documents to the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office.

The Democrats also complain that someone else won the marijuana party Presidential primary but that woman then claimed that she never agreed to be on their ballot.

Dennis Schuller came in 2nd and has now claimed the top spot.

Vermin Supreme (of Gloucester, MA) came in 3rd so if Dennis Schuller is disqualified then Vermin Supreme may be the candidate for President of the United States of America for the Legal Marijuana Now party IF they keep their major party status.

The preliminary findings were that the Legal Marijuana Now party did not properly qualify for major party status.

The Democrat Farmer Labor Party will still face the Legal Marijuana Now party on Nov. 5, 2024 because the Court has apparently agreed that they can go out and collect 2,000 ballot access petition signatures to qualify their candidate for President as an independent and use the MN 3 word rule and put Legal Marijuana Now on the ballot. Their other candidates for statewide office only need 500 ballot access petition signatures. Voters won't know the difference, they will see the party on the ballot and it won't say whether or not it is a major party.

After this lawsuit is ruled on, and if they can raise some funds, the Legal Marijuana Now Party may be heading to Vermont to collect the required 1,000 petition signatures to put their candidates for President and Vice President on the ballot as independent candidates using the three word descriptive rule so they will appear on the Vermont ballot as the Legal Marijuana Now party. Also, they may be headed to New Jersey, where they only need 800 signatures to put their candidates on the ballot as independent candidates.

Feb 12, 2024 — Last week, the Minnesota DFL claimed the Legal Marijuana Now Party failed to meet the requirements to maintain major party status.
