2024 California Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony

(Sacramento, California) On the way to 2024 California State Capitol Juneteenth, throughout the Great State of California, we open the way to renew efforts to align with Wednesday, June 19, 2024, our Federal Holiday since 2021, at our Global Juneteenth Flag Rasing Ceremony

A couple years ago we spoke out against the current reality of an "optional" California Juneteenth Holiday, however future alignment may be on the horizon in a year or so... apart of future reparative justice notions unfold.

Many still need to confuse and fabricate a palatable "Black Nationalism Story" during Juneteenth Celebrations to "turn-up" an end of Spring party in the name of freedom.

The long and arduous journey toward freedom; generations as prisoners of war, captive chattel slaves, experience the slave masters whip; is only made worse by some leaders desire to ignore or articulate the high cost, on bloody battles waged by our USCT from California, who joined hand to hand combat, a high price for Juneteenth freedom during our US Civil War.

We must teach an authentic truth and celebrate our unique journey toward freedom.

We must begin to honor the nearly 1 million military soldiers both Confederate and Union casualties along with untold civilian lives who perished preserving the Union and creating an official end to Slavery in America, December 1865.

At some point, our authentic Journey from Slavery to Freedom unique to California will told as the piecemeal "studies" open a path forward.

Together, we can shine a bright spotlight on this 175th Anniversary of 1849, the children of California should no longer be blinded from "hidden figures" of California Pioneers of Pan African Ancestry by "social engineering designs" we believe truth and reconciliation is possible in 2024.
