March 11 is the first day of fasting for Ramadan, and the day Netanyahu promises to finish the genocide in Gaza with a ground invasion of Rafah. Perhaps it won't happen. Perhaps the remaining Palestinians in Rafah will be spared. One thing we know for certain: Nancy Pelosi will continue to do NOTHING to prevent the deaths of thousands more in Gaza.
Gather with us to mourn and to air our grief. Perhaps being together on this night will help us to bear the sadness and anger we are feeling. How can we make Pelosi and Genocide Joe stop this slaughter that we are paying for against our will? We aren't powerless. We are strong and courageous women and men and we CAN oust Pelosi and Biden and all the heartless murdering politicians.
Food and drink provided. Ritual fire is legal in San Francisco.

Why would food and drink be provided on the first day of Ramadan fasting?
In response to Perplexed, the daily fast ends at dusk. This event was planned from 7pm to 8pm. So providing food during this event is fine. Sun set a little after 7pm.
The propensity for some leftists to criticize other leftists is so tiresome and is counterproductive. There was nothing wrong with how this event was proposed.
Besides, the event organizers arent Muslim, nor does one have to be Muslim to protest against the genocide of Palestinians. If they wanted to eat before dusk, it isnt an issue.
Nor are all Palestinians Muslim themselves. Christian Palestinians, and atheist Palestinans are suffering along with Muslim Palestinans.
Besides, if food is provided at a protest event, everyone can make their own decision regarding if they would eat or not.
