Tens of thousands have stood up against and exposed the truth of Israel’s onslaught against the people of Gaza, with the full military, financial, and diplomatic backing of Israel’s master, U.S. imperialism.

For courageously calling out this genocide for what it is and standing up for the people of Gaza, students, intellectuals, artists, journalists, lawyers, and activists have been targeted by authorities at the highest levels of society; censored, pilloried, and physically threatened. Even presidents of major universities have faced firing and threats for not sufficiently clamping down on students resisting genocide.

The system is trying to make people pay a price for opposing their savage slaughter — including 8,000 children—in Gaza. Those committing a horrific genocide right now accuse those who are fighting it of being for genocide by equating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism.

This is Nazi thought control. The democracy that exists in the U.S. is a democracy that serves the ruling imperialists and their interests. Israel, the maintenance of Israel, and the role that it plays in the U.S. empire, is decisive to those interests.
