In the strife-torn hills of Palestine, a diverse crew of Bedouins, activists and urban professionals embrace climbing as a much-needed respite from the burdens of the Israeli occupation. American writer & climber Andrew Bisharat visits the West Bank to explore his own roots and the power of climbing to transform lives.

Tim Bruns is a producer of and subject in the new film “Resistance Climbing” about the rock climbing community in the West Bank. Tim spent many years living in Palestine and helping to establish the climbing community there. Tim is a co-founder of Wadi Climbing, the first climbing gym in Palestine, and an author of the Climbing Palestine guidebook. He currently resides in Colorado.
