Of course $5,000,000,000,000,000 is just what the aggregate price of all the parcels of Earth tally up to. https://indie88.com/earth-cost/
The actual price is everything right up to what all of us inhabitants would ladle over before complete and utter annihilation, and if matters in Ukraine, Sudan, and the Levant supply you an impression what that price is, perhaps it's time for Greta and other environmentalist folk to settle for the 5 quadrillion figure and demand that anyone using any of the parcels constituting the basis of that number to pay the rest of us for the piece of our planet they wish to call their own. Ahem, the planet is ours, we're the landlord, and we demand pay up or be evicted!
Come along on a walking tour that explores a San Francisco-originating scheme for how to do just that. How to have us all play a collective landlord role and cease getting stiffed by presumptuous private owners of the Earth. Pretending you are the owner of a piece of our planet with right to exclude others except upon your enrichment is, well, pretty rich. Absurd, really.
On this FREE walking tour (now in it's 24th year!) we'll size up San Francisco social movements as, at bottom, studies in just how much blood, sweat, and tears marginalized folk will surrender in order to keep "a place in the sun."
